The final story before Ultimate Galactus arrives. This one has Vision going on about some of the civilizations that Galactus has destroyed. I have no clue why they decided to take Vision, a previously blocky looking robot when it was damaged, and turned it into a sexy female robot with giant hoots? Maybe Vision just wanted to feel pretty after being around all those weirdo alien races.
What this comic is effective at is building upon the previously released arcs. It increases the tension by making you realize how deadly Galactus has been and why he’s viewed the way he is across the galaxy. While this is an incredibly short comic, it succeeds in it’s goal. The art is as well done as you’d expect from the rest of the arcs.
Since it’s such a short comic, I’ll combine this review with the final arc of the event, Ultimate Extinction.
4/5.

Ultimate Extinction for $10.19 currently at Amazon
You just know this is going to have problems when the first two or three issues say “Issue X of 6″ and around the fourth issue it suddenly says “Issue X of 5″. Welp.
This is where the event comes together. Ultimate Galactus is well on his way, he’s destroyed thousands of civilizations that spent tens of thousands of years prepping for him, you find out he’s infiltrated Earth, looks like humanity is pretty screwed!
The real shame of this event is with all the build and a solid first few issues with some awesome stuff, it ends up having a rather disappointing end to it all. The ideas involved were so great that I’m beyond puzzled why it didn’t receive that sixth issue. When you finally do finish reading it, you’ll be left thinking it’s missing something and things got wrapped up way too quickly. But hey, it’s still way better than that shit Ultimatum event.
3/5. Could’ve been better, but it’s worth reading. Just pick up the Ultimate Galactus Trilogy for $20 if you want to save some dough.
