WETA releasing an affordably priced tiny Gollum statue

I’m really quite surprised at how small this is, but coming up at $65 for a WETA statue, Gollum looks pretty nice. Open edition size on this one.

Weta announces their first District 9 statues – Christopher Johnson and son Prawns

These are going to be 1/6th scale, limited to 600, with a MSRP of $249. A bit expensive, but it is from Weta.

I’ve always been a fan of these environments and wished more companies would release them for their products, so I’m glad to see Weta is still putting out such strong entries. One of the nicest collector’s editions of a statue I’ve ever seen as well, since it really adds so much to the presentation and is a great touch for fans.

Weta releases first District 9 replica images

So far they’ve announced they’re releasing 2 full-size 1:1 replica weapons from the movie. Fairly low edition sizes, and no doubt shipping will be expensive, but since they’re being created by the same people that made the props in the first place, I’m sure accuracy and quality will be top notch.

Weta Continues Lord Of The Rings Environment Statues

Yep, that’s right, they’re starting up this line again! I always thought these looked fantastic, though I never had the chance to own one.

The official word is that this was the original version of the statue that was later used for the bookends available in the DVD set. It’s been making the rounds in exhibits so apparently a lot of Lord of the Rings fans should be familiar with this. Other unreleased environments are being voted on here :
