Hot Toys Assassin’s Creed II – Ezio figure

I’m not big on the Assassin’s Creed franchise from a gameplay standpoint, but I gotta say, they’ve got some gorgeous designs. This Hot Toys Ezio figure had some really incredible details.

The 1/6th scale Ezio Collectible Figure specially features:

- Authentic and detailed fully realized likeness of Ezio in the video game Assassin’s Creed II
- Approximately 30 cm tall
- TrueType body with over 30 points of articulations
- Real-like hair sculpture with detachable ponytail tied up with ribbon
- Three (3) pieces of interchangeable posing palms including
- One (1) pair of open palms (right palm with glove)
- One (1) pair of relaxed palms
- One (1) pair for holding swords (right palm with glove)
- Each piece of head sculpt is specially hand-painted

The Amazon Gamestop price drop gaming war continues

Gamestop went and dropped some more prices on games a day or two ago and Amazon lobbed back by matching all their sales again as well as adding pre-order bonuses to certain other games. I gotta say, great time to be a gamer now. Not that I have free time for all these damn games, I can spare enough for one game or so a month. At least it’s cheap!

I think I explained this before, but the deal with the gaming credits is when you buy a game, the credit gets added to your account. Say you get a $10 one by purchased New Super Mario Bros. Well, next game you purchase, you get $10 off. If that game happens to be $60 and comes with a $10 credit…you pay $50 and you get another $10 credit for the next game, etc… some games come with $20 as well. Paying full retail is for suckers with all the pricedrops and gaming credits. Remember to follow the WYO twitter on the lefthand size of the page!

Valve released one of the funniest plush toys around from Left4Dead 2

Now I’m not the biggest fan of Left 4 Dead, but I can appreciate a hilarious plush when I see one. Best of all, it has sounds! I’m looking at this thing and it’s so hilarious looking, if I was swimming in cash, I’d totally pick him up.

Custom Toy Showcase #7 – More Videogames

I just couldn’t get enough of videogame inspired toys the last time around so here’s a few more.

With God of War coming up soon, let’s take a look at two Kratos pieces. One hilarious, one pretty cool. You figure out which!

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a custom Olimar before, this little guy is fantastic.

Kinda wish this picture was bigger. So many custom toy pictures are like 100×150. It’s like 1997.

Custom Toy Showcase #6 – Video Games Edition

Videogames are getting a ton of custom attention lately due to the interesting visuals they’ve been pumping out lately, so here’s a few neat ones.

Despite having roughly 400 games, Bomberman doesn’t get much attention. At least he’s getting some quality recognition here.

Legend of Zelda Majora’s Mask – Skull Kid First4Figures Statue Review

There’s already a few statues from this Zelda line and fortunately, plenty more coming. Today, I’ll be looking at the First4Figures Skull Kid statue.

I didn’t bother taking too many shots of this one, not because it doesn’t look good, but because the back area of the sculpture is very simple. This is one of my favourite statues, not due to it’s impressive size or anything (only 8 or 9 inches tall), but how well they nailed the character. I can’t think of a better sculpt or pose for Skull Kid. I haven’t played the game recently and I haven’t looked at references, but it feels exactly how I felt Skull Kid should look in statue form.

The colours are really vibrant where they should be, and quite muted in other areas. The base is top notch and since Skull Kid is seen on a tree trunk in the game, it works perfectly. The paint, at least on mine, is pretty much flawless.

I guess the only thing that could’ve improved this statue was if you could remove the Skull Kid mask. But that’s something more up a company like Sideshow’s alley, and it’d cost a whole lot more, without adding too much to the whole presentation. On a sidenote, F4F was planning to release a regular Link statue that some of you may have seen previously. I thought the face on it looked like garbage, and it was an easy pass for me. They just redid the face and uploaded new photos, happy to say I’m totally getting it now. Despite their constant delays, when these guys nail a statue, I’m usually quite impressed.

Buying Options : Long sold out at retail, take a trip over to the bay. Available at a somewhat inflated price at Amazon but check back another time to see if it’s cheaper.
