Kotobukiya continues their cute line of small model kits with a Saber Lily figure

Kotobukyia has kept this model kit line going strong, both with Mega Man releases and Fate/Stay Night ones, like this new Saber Lily. The Saber designs are pretty cute as well, allowing for a lot of fun poses. I’m hoping the line is selling well enough that it’ll get Mega Man villains and more Saber releases but we’ll see! Perhaps I can find out next week at Toy Fair. Pre-order available at Hobby Search for just over $33.

Next up in the Batman : Play Arts Kai lineup – New Batman and Harley Quinn figures

Another Batman armor and the original Arkham Asylum Harley Quinn are up next for the Square Enix Play Arts Kai line of figures. The Batman looks pretty badass and the Harley has a cool accessory but I could never get over how silly her costume looked (and even more so in the second game!). Hopefully this sells well enough that they release an Ivy, her outfit was well designed and would work well in their line. Pre-orders should be available at BBTS and Sideshow in the coming week.

First4Figures announces they’ve acquired the Worms licence!

The first wave of Worms™ collectibles will be previewed at this year’s upcoming Nuremberg and New York Toy Fairs, with product anticipated to come to market around July 2012. DC Direct drops an absurd amount of announcements – Starting with Dark Knight Rises statues, figures and busts

These are magazine scans so I don’t believe they’re supposed to be announced for a bit yet but you guys get a sneak peek into some surprisingly exciting DC Direct news for 2012! There are enough pictures that I didn’t want to cram them into a single article so prepare for a few over the next couple of hours. Starting with the DC Direct Dark Knight Rises statues and busts.

Starting with : 6 inch Batman, Bane, and Catwoman figures! Though since they don’t look articulated, they’re more like mini and affordable statues. After that, check out the Batman, Bane, and Catwoman 12 inch statues, followed up by the Batman, Bane, and Catwoman busts. I wouldn’t be surprised if they pumped out some action posed statues either.

Hot Toys wasn’t going to let Kotobukiya start off the Avengers thunder without a response! Here’s a sneak peek of their first Avengers movie figure, Nick Fury.

I’m not sure if the translation I received was 100% accurate but it seems the Max Factory Zero Suit Samus statue and their Samus Varia Suit Figma go up for pre-order tomorrow! I’ll post links once they’re available. I’ll be trying to grab both so you can look forward to future reviews!

Update : Zero Suit Samus up for pre-order at $82 and Samus Aran Figma for $40.

New Mass Effect figures to come with downloadable content for Mass Effect 3?

BBTS now has an additional section to their Mass Effect toy listing. Quoted below :

Bonus Downloadable Game Content: Each figure includes an in-pack card giving you access to downloadable in-game bonus content. Each figure contains different in-game content, exclusive to North American released product. Collect all 8 for the full experience!

DLC has often been available with pre-orders and sometimes small purchases, such as chips or soda, but action figures? That’s interesting. Makes me really curious what kind of content they’ll be releasing. Whether it’s weapons, short missions, or multiplayer content.
