Seems like just a few days ago that Bowen Designs showed off the initial version of the new Thanos statue. Since then, it’s been revealed that he’ll most likely have glow in the dark eyes, and here’s a paint sample of the “dark” paint scheme. There’s another picture available of the light one, but it’s very similar colours to the original Thanos statue so I figured I’d skip posting it, I’m willing to bet this is the paint scheme they’ll stick with.

Bowen Designs has been releasing sneaks like mad lately, here’s one of the ones I’ve been most looking forward to, the Thanos on throne statue. So far I like the regular full size statue better but this has some serious potential.

I kid, I kid, I actually enjoy statues that’re sitting, it can make for some incredibly impressive looks, like the Doctor Doom PF. Thanos has had some iconic imagery of him lounging around in a chair, so much so that the only full commission I’ve paid for from a well-known artist was for Thanos sitting on a chair on top of a base of skulls. Here’s the Bowen Designs take on it, though Bowen himself mentioned they’d be tweaking the look of the base.

As for edition sizes, the Psylocke exclusive was announced at 450, not bad. The Emperor’s 1/6th throne comes in at 2500 units, and 150 units for the Spinosaur Maquette.

Sideshow Collectibles releases their full Thanos and Mistress Death diorama gallery early

This long anticipated statue release was facing a bit of controversy when the preview shot was showing off a face that many Marvel collectors weren’t sure about. By releasing a full gallery a few days early, people on the fence can figure out if they like it or not. I gotta say, I like it a fair bit better than I did from just the sneak peek. It’s going to be released on May 20th for preorder, I’ll of course toss up an article about it. $360 for the exclusive with change-o head for Mistress Death, $350 for the regular.
