In person, the neck joint was less noticeable. While it’s a fine idea to be able to move the base/heads around for multiple poses, I’m not sure it’ll have as interesting result as DC Direct expects. Not that anyone is surprised by this, but Hot Toys finally made their Christopher Reeve Superman DX announcement. They’ve got Arnie Kim on board for this one, a pretty famous sculptor over there.

If you’re not familiar with this, it was a graphic novel (back when Loeb was decent) and is being made into a movie. As has happened with every other animated movie, DC Direct is making a maquette of it, in this case, Supergirl. She comes in at 11.25 inches high with a MSRP of $100.

One of DC Direct‘s most popular lines, they just announced a new VS statue, Superman vs Brainiac. I’m kicking myself for not picking up Superman vs Darkseid for cheap, since the value has skyrocketed, ugh. This comes in at just under 17 inches tall and 8 inches wide with a MSRP of $250.
