HCG releasing a 1:4 scale Captain Kirk statue

MSRP of $279.99 (though look at other retailers, such as BBTS!), limited to 750, coming in at about 19 inches tall, HCG presents their 1:4 scale Captain Kirk statue. There’s no exclusive version of this one. The likeness to Kirk is pretty good and roughly one billion times better than Sideshow’s attempt (admittedly, that was MANY years ago), it also makes me wonder if HCG will do more of the crew in 1:4.

Coming in at nearly $5k, I doubt I’ll know anyone picking this up. That said, from the handful of pictures available, it looks amazing. QMX does some impressive work and their 2009 Star Trek ship seems to continue improving upon that trend! Check out more details over here.

HCG expands the bridge crew by showing off their 1/6th Spock statue

Available in both regular and exclusive editions, the HCG 1/6th Spock statue will be $199.95 for either version. The exclusive has an edition size of 150 units and comes with the rather nice looking top of the bridge console, the regular will come in at 600 units.

HCG producing a Star Trek Gorn statue!

HCG continues their Star Trek line with one of the most famous aliens from the franchise, the Gorn! Starring in a classic Kirk episode, I’m sure most Star Trek fans remember this one. He’ll be 13″ tall and $160 directly from HCG. The exclusive version comes with his cannon and is limited to 100, the regular is limited to 500.

HCG finally showed off fully painted pictures of their Star Trek Captain Kirk statue, as well as starting up preorders. The HCG exclusive version, limited to 150, comes with a Captain’s log book and data cards. The regular version is limited to 600 and is $200.

While I didn’t get any pictures of the HCG Kirk statue on display at SDCC, from what I saw, it looked rather good. These sneak peeks of the Spock make him look promising as well. As usual with HCG, the details will slowly trickle out over the next few months, so more updates as they come.

Rocket World brings more of the Star Trek bridge crew – Spock and Bones revealed

Mere days after revealing the full version of Kirk, Rocket World brings us a surprise and shows of Spock and Bones with their captain. Although these are officially called Captain Titus, Commander Affonso and Lt. Commander Hannibal, I felt I’d go with the names people might recognize them by.

Turns out these ARE exclusive to SDCC and will be limited to 300 for each figure.

As a big fan of Star Trek, bears, and bizarre looking toys, this was pretty much a grand slam for me the moment I saw it. Rocket World is releasing this Captain Kirk at SDCC, as far as I can tell, it’s not an exclusive. No details on size/pricing yet, this is supposed to be the first in the line.

HCG Announces New Licences

HCG just announced a boatload of new licences today, I have no clue how they’ll be able to work on all these lines at once, but man, something to look forward to! The licences are : Star Trek, Resident Evil, Rocky, Sleepy Hollow, and Silence of the Lambs.

We recently secured the license to produce 12” and 18” statues of the characters that encompass the entire Star Trek universe, from the original TV series right through to the latest movie, Star Trek XI.

We intend to cover the entire Trek franchise, so Kirk, Spock, Picard, Klingons, and also characters from the new movie as well.

Resident Evil is one of the most popular and enduring game franchises out there, and we recently sealed the deal to produce prop replicas and 12” and 18” statues based on the video games! Expect zombies!

You maybe interested to know we also recently picked up the license for both 12″ & 18″ statues from Rocky! This covers all the movies, so we are starting to develop product now. Also a 1:1 lifesize Rocky bust is in the pipeline too!

We will be producing 12” and 18”statues from the cult movie “Sleepy Hollow”!

Should the Headless Horseman be on his horse or not? Would make a very big piece!

Who doesn’t remember Hannibal Lecter from Silence of the Lambs! Well, we have the license to immortalize him in statue form! How would you like to see him depicted?
