It’s strange that most of my statue alerts are about Sideshow Collectibles. Probably due to the absolutely huge amount of product they’ve been putting out lately from a variety of factories, I’m sure they’ll still working out the kinks.

The seller for this was on Ebay, life-luck (Sideshow is aware of him or I wouldn’t normally list his name) and he had a variety of movie related props and recasts, one of which was this. From what I can tell, this looks exactly like the Sideshow one, so it’s quite difficult to tell [...]

I didn’t want to put this up as a recast alert because nobody has been able to prove they’re recasts. However, there’s been a lot of suspicious activity from this Ebay seller located over in Asia. He’s sold a number of “grail” statues and at least two of his Premium Format Hulk statues [...]

I’m always interested in reading articles about how newer technology is coming into play in artistic fields, so this one was pretty fun. One of the sculptors at Sideshow, the one that did the recent Snake Eyes diorama, has a writeup featuring tons of pictures of the CG sculpt for the statue, as well [...]

I haven’t seen any really recent reports of this one but I felt it was worth mentioning, common or not.

Some great bits of info on Sideshow’s site about their upcoming Marvel works. It’s hard to tell what’s going on with the Colossus, but both versions of Cyclops already look like they’ve got serious potential.
