NECA’s international release of their 1:1 Lancer – Gold release!

A few days ago NECA announced their 1:1 scale Lancer replica from Gears of War. It’s a US exclusive, HOWEVER, international customers are getting something even better. The Gold Lancer! UK customers get it at Play.com, Australia via Gametraders, Mexico through Blockbuster Mexico, and Canada through Gamestop.

There aren’t many details as of yet (and I’m not familiar with the company), but here’s the press release.

Universal Designs Ltd. has been licensed to design, manufacture, market and deliver TRON LEGACY Movie Replica Suits, Outerwear and Accessories by Disney Consumer Products.

It’s with great pride that we announce our second studio license…and while still very early, pre-production has already begun on bringing these incredible movie suits to life as real world/wearable…and functional ‘Movie Replica Garments’.

As the film debut draws closer, we’ll have more…much, much more to show and discuss in detail.

Weta releases first District 9 replica images

So far they’ve announced they’re releasing 2 full-size 1:1 replica weapons from the movie. Fairly low edition sizes, and no doubt shipping will be expensive, but since they’re being created by the same people that made the props in the first place, I’m sure accuracy and quality will be top notch.
