Here’s the first Hot Toys figure announcement from the new Predators movie, Berserker Predator. Full specs and pics under the cut.

Hot Toys is proud to present the 1/6th scale Berserker Predator Collectible Figure from the Predators movie. The movie-accurate Berserker Predator collectible is specially crafted based on its image in the movie, highlighting the newly sculpted and painted head and body armory, interchangeable open and closed mandibles, face mask and detailed weapons.

The 1/6th scale Berserker Predator Collectible Figure specially features:
- Authentic and detailed fully realized likeness of Berserker Predator in the movie Predators
- Realistic and accurate 1/6th scale of 14 inches / 35 cm tall
- Over 22 points of articulations
- Newly sculpted and painted head and body armory
- Interchangeable open and closed mandibles
- Two (2) pairs of interchangeable palms including:
- One (1) pair of fists
- One (1) pair of relaxed palms
- Each piece of head sculpt is specially hand-painted

From what I’ve seen of previous Hot Toys limited releases (and indeed, what’s going on now with Sarah Connor), it’d be best for you to snatch this up if you’re at all interested and if it doesn’t appeal to you, just resell it later. Of course, I appreciate everyone who buys it through my links, so thanks in advance guys! It should be up at 10am PST, which is 1pm EST. This is for people attending SDCC only. Non-attendees get it on the 2nd.

I’ve got that feeling that within a year, Hot Toys is going to have a dozen Predator figures in total…and because of how badass they look, every single one will still be in heavy demand. Let’s take a more indepth look at the Toy Fair exclusive, the Predator 2 Guardian Predator!

Hot Toys is proud to present the 1/6th scale Guardian Predator Collectible Figure from the Predator 2 movie. The movie-accurate Guardian Predator collectible is specially crafted based on its image in the movie, highlighting the newly painted head and body armory, highly detailed weapons, newly developed face mask, oxygen mask and bone trophies.

The 1/6th scale Guardian Predator Collectible Figure specially features:

- Authentic and detailed fully realized likeness of Guardian Predator in the movie Predator 2
- Realistic 1/6th scale of approximately 14 inches / 35 cm tall

Hot Toys announces it’s Toy Fair(s) exclusives – T-1000 Sarah Connor, Guardian Predator, and Iron Man Mark IV bust

Hot Toys revealed today that they’re releasing 3 exclusive items for the Tokyo Toy Fair, T-1000 disguised as Sarah Connor, a Guardian Predator from Predator 2, and an Iron Man Mark IV bust. However, they put Toy Fair in plural, which is either a typo, or means they’ll be bringing these exclusives to other toy shows. I’m hoping they have them at SDCC, because I would love to grab the Guardian Predator. The numbers below are how limited they’ll be, which is another reason I believe they’ll be at multiple shows. Those low edition sizes are unheard of for Hot Toys figures.

In a few days, I’ll post up the galleries of each of these. I would do it right now, but I’ve got some other fun site stuff I’m working on right now!

Recast Alert – Sideshow Collectibles Life-size 1:1 Predator bust

The seller for this was on Ebay, life-luck (Sideshow is aware of him or I wouldn’t normally list his name) and he had a variety of movie related props and recasts, one of which was this. From what I can tell, this looks exactly like the Sideshow one, so it’s quite difficult to tell what’s a recast and what isn’t. If more details come out, I’ll be sure to post them. Avoid getting any Predator life-size busts from China.

NECA working on new Predator action figures

Figures.com just announced that they’ve had a talk with NECA’s head of product development. Apparently, they’re going to be releasing figures for Predator, Predator 2, and the upcoming Predators film. No human characters are planned yet, they’re going to start with the different looks of the Predators and work from there.

On one hand, it’ll be good to have some low-cost entry level toys for Predator fans with decent face sculpts, not everyone can afford Hot Toys, after all. On the other hand, one of my friends that received the Dead Space figure of theirs told me that one of the joints busted already, so I’m not sure their quality has improved since I broke one of my Gears of War figures by dusting it. Let’s hope it has.

Sideshow’s “Ask Sideshow” Feature

At Comic-Con, you unveiled plans to produce a 20+ inch Optimus Prime maquette. Are there others in the works such as Ravage, Bumblebee, Jetfire, Sideswipe, Arcee, Megatron, The Fallen, Soundwave, etc.? Does the license pertain strictly to the Transformers sequel or will considerations be taken for the first movie for characters such as Blackout, Bonecrusher or Jazz?

At this time, we are only in development on the Optimus Prime maquette. We have discussed concepts for several other characters and product types, but we’re not ready to share those ideas just yet! We’ll let you know how things develop!

Would you consider creating another statue of the original Predator? I revisit the PF/maquette version that you created a few years ago, and I am still amazed at how beautiful and detailed it was. No on else has come close the quality that you bring to this subject/character, and I am sure I am not alone in this opinion and request!

Absolutely – the original Predator will reappear in full-bodied form, in some format, at some point.

As a follow up to your beautiful Predator 1 life-size bust, is there any chance that fans will get a Predator 2 bust in the near future? If so, I would love to see a closed mandible sculpt that has a more aggressive look!

Yes, we do plan to release a Predator 2 Life-Size Bust. We’ll pass along your facial expression suggestion!

I was wondering if Sideshow was planning on visiting the Mos Eisley Cantina for future 12” figure ideas? Top picks for me would be first and foremost Momaw Nadon (Hammerhead), Dice Ibegon, Greedo, Ponda Baba, Takeel (Snaggletooth), Wuher, Ackmena and Dr. Evazan. Have any of these been considered for 12″ or are any in development?

Yes, yes and yes. The scum and villainy of Tatooine will likely play an important role in 2010 and 2011, perhaps beyond!

When will the Premium Format Gambit that’s getting all they hype be available? Any chance of a sneek peak soon?

Yes, you’re likely to get a sneak peek very soon! He’s definitely worth the hype! He won’t be the NEXT Premium Format Marvel character to get a full reveal, but he is definitely coming soon.

I love the new Venom Comiquette, whitch brings me to my question. Will we see a Carnage Comiquette treatment soon?

Any plans for a Deadpool Premium Format Figure?

Yes, you will see Deadpool in the future, although it’s too early to say whether it will be Comiquette or Premium Format.
