Up for pre-order on Wednesday at 4am EST, Benn Beckman and Shirahoshi will no doubt be selling out in a few minutes, like the majority of Portrait of Pirates figures lately. Shirahoshi comes in rather pricey, likely in the 7200-7600 yen range even after the shop discount.

Turns out Christmas week was more hectic than I thought so I didn’t get a chance to finish off a newer review. So have another classic Portrait of Pirates review that I never got around to posting! Megahouse really stepped up their game at Megahobby Expo, announced Benn Beckman, Shirahoshi, Bonne, Dofla, and Gecko Moria as upcoming figures in their Portrait of Pirates statue line. I like the unconventional character choices and new poses, I’m planning to grab Shirahoshi (she’s holding a little Luffy!) and Gecko Moria at the least.

Doesn’t really capture “Sanji” to me, I was hoping for a more dynamic pose this time around! Though that heart face is top notch. Here’s Megahouse’s next Portrait of Pirates figure, the post-timeskip Sanji.

Usually the Megahouse limited Portrait of Pirates statue releases are more lackluster, like making it shiny or changing the colour of whatever skimpy clothing a female is wearing, but this one is pretty cool. Megahouse just revealed some new Portrait of Pirates figures and painted versions of some other previously revealed ones, time-skip versions of Zoro, Nami, Luffy, and Chopper, with the Admirals Monkey D. Garp and Kizaru rounding it out!

Sabo’s flashback arc was probably the most boring One Piece arc of the last 5 years so while I’m not surprised he’s getting a figure, I can’t say I’m particularly enthusiastic about this one either.
