What's Your Obsession

If you’re not familiar with this, it was a graphic novel (back when Loeb was decent) and is being made into a movie. As has happened with every other animated movie, DC Direct is making a maquette of it, in this case, Supergirl. She comes in at 11.25 inches high with a MSRP of $100.

These are already up for preorder over at Gentle Giant. Considering their almost total lack of new announcements, it’s good to see they’re still working on product. Up for grabs is Kit Visto in the newer Clone Wars animated style, as well as a mini-bust of Darth Vader as seen in part of the Force [...]

Looks like Sideshow is starting up the Iron Man excitement sooner, rather than later. They’re already putting up the Mark VI maquette for pre-order in next week’s newsletter. As far as I can tell, this is going to a 1/4th scale statue. Quite the dynamic pose on this one.

DC Direct has started releasing maquettes for all their recent animated movies. The Wonder Woman movie was fun and here’s the statue that came from it.

Time to take a look at the DC Direct Supergirl animated maquette. Another in the series of cute DC Direct animated lady maquettes, this one has one added advantage over the others. It’s a super cute Supergirl design and she’s always been one of my favourite comic ladies. Yeah sure, I’ve gotten some weird looks [...]

This is the first review from this line of DC Direct Animated Maquettes, in this case, Harley Quinn. A few years back, DC Direct released a series of the animated women in cute/sexy poses. It included Harley Quinn, Supergirl, Poison Ivy, Batgirl, and Catwoman.

A few more DC Direct announcements to round out the ones from a little earlier. They’re working on a line of True Blood busts, which have an interesting look to them. Nice to see a maquette of a lesser known character and the Aquaman is a nice addition to the Chronicles line.

I’m sure most of you have heard of the upcoming giant (20″+) Optimus Prime movie maquette coming from Sideshow.
