As you can clearly tell, Guile’s based on his Street Fighter 4 interpretation, which gives him musculature only a little smaller than the Hulk. The PCS line has always been based on SF4 interpretations so they’re all huge. As far as the pose goes, classic Guile. Combing the ridiculous hair is the iconic Guile thing to do and he looks like a badass. Like he just finished off a battle and had to comb his hair once or twice to get ready again.

The mixed media portions of the statue are dead-on. You’ve got the tank top, pants, and belt. The shirt needed to be adjusted a little out of the package and in retrospect, I should’ve adjusted the back a little more. Pants were perfect, so was the belt. The pants are a nice thicker fabric while the tank top is very thin to allow musculature to show through. It does a pretty good job too! The boots are sculpted with a good amount of wear and the dog tags appear to be metal but I’m not sure. Unfortunately the dog tags aren’t the slightest bit accurate but at that scale? I imagine it would’ve been pretty tough to do that.

The detail sculpting work in general seems a little sloppy. The watch and the comb could definitely have been better. I’ve got smaller scale toys that have some nicely detailed props so while I can excuse the dog tags, this is a bit disappointing. Yeah, it’s pretty nitpicky since you’re dealing with a toddler sized videogame character and it’s the overall thing that’s impressive but at around $300, would’ve been nice to have a good looking comb.

Don’t worry about how the neck looks in that last shot, that’s just a trick of the angle. I wanted to get a nice detail shot of the American flags and some of the back muscles.

Time for a detail shot of his face! Keep in mind even the low-res version of this is a good amount larger than the real deal. While the slight paint issues around his eyes/lip are pretty clear there, it’s rather tough to notice in person unless you’ve got your face all up in his. Even then it just looks like they went a little heavy handed on shading those areas, a softer touch and it’d be perfect. The hair looks great with the darker tones visible throughout. The rest of the paint? Pretty basic but well done. It’s just skin tones but I didn’t notice any paint blobs, drips, or whatever on the statue. One of the reasons I wasn’t sure about this statue was in some promo shots, the face looked strange. I’m happy to say that the facial sculpting is super nicely done and looks significantly better than I thought it would.

The base has a slight issue as you can see in some of the shots, it looks like a rub. It’s not nearly the issue that many Zangiefs had and in most lighting conditions, not even visible.

4.5/5 My complaints about detailed props aside, like the Zangief, I believe this will be the definitive Guile statue for a long time. Accurate to the character, looks badass, well worth it for a Street Fighter fan.
