What's Your Obsession

Instead of dumping all the DC Direct announcements in one day like last month, I’ll group some of the less exciting ones and individually post the ones that typically draw more attention. Good mix between saving me some work and enhancing visibility. Check the prop replicas under the cut!

These are apparently based off of the movie and come in the regular 6″ size, as well as the mini Mez-Itz size, due to be released in May 2011.

The larger version of this was a smashing success for DC Direct ages ago and it goes for pretty expensive amounts on Ebay, so it seems a perfect fit for an upcoming mini-statue. Green Lantern and Sinestro are coming out late June with a MSRP of $125.

For all the complaints the Dynamics line gets about being overly elaborate busts, I think they’ve (mostly) got a great look to them and I’m glad to see the line continue. DC Direct is knocking out a Sinestro statue next April. It’ll be about 12″ tall and come with the unfortunately high MSRP of $195. [...]

For all of my issues with Mattel and their MattyCollector brand, they do put out some impressive DC figures. I’ve heard nothing but complaints about the DC Direct SDCC distribution of their limited Green Lantern figures so I imagine it’ll be the same for this. Good luck to anyone that’s interested in these!

Continuing another line of statues that lets DC release their main characters again and again, we’ve got two new additions to the DC Direct Chronicles line. Green Lantern and Flash in two of their classic representations, with the Flash coming out nicer than I thought he would.
