Part 2 of 3 DC Direct 2012 updates! I’m saving what I consider the best for last. In this update, the upcoming Just-Us Mad Magazine figures, Spy vs Spy vinyl series, new Ame-Comi announcements including Arisia, Brainiac, Harley Quinn V2, Holiday Catwoman (last 3 not pictures), new Batman Black and White statues including a Darwyn Cooke one and a Bane, plus the animated Saint Walker statue.

DC Direct’s April statue solicits – New 52 Batman B&W and Green Lantern animated statue

Only two new statue announcements from DC Direct for their April solicits. They’re releasing a New 52 Batman Black and White by Jim Lee for $79.99 MSRP and a Green Lantern Animated Series maquette for $124.99. Unfortunately I’m not finding myself impressed by either one. I know DC Direct has eased back with other companies having their licence but I’d still love to see more VS statues, more Cover Girls, all sorts of high quality stuff!

Sideshow really brings it on the last day of their Christmas event – DC statue and bust sneaks!

Sideshow Collectibles has kept a lot of us waiting on their DC details, well, here’s a whole lot of sneaks! Gotta say, the direction of most of these is looking fantastic.

DC Direct’s August Solicitations – All in one post

I’ll be dumping these all in one post this month for time reasons, it’s a solid month of Green Lantern!

We’ve got the Hal Jordan vs Parallax statue, which looks amazing so far, ringing up with a MSRP of $295 and due to be released in late March, 2012. Next up, a popular Green Lantern lady, Arisia, finally gets a Women of DC bust! $65 MSRP and due to be released mid-March. Finally, a Hal Jordan animated maquette from the upcoming Green Lantern cartoon. The MSRP is $125 and it’s due to be released early March.

Two Hot Toys announcements, one good, one bad!

Bad news first, apparently the Tron line is being shelved for now. The Sam bike and the Kevin Flynn figure will both be released as scheduled but any further releases are up in the air. Apparently this doesn’t mean it’s canceled, since they’ve done this before and continued lines, but it’s not a good sign. I’ll try to get more details at SDCC if possible.

The good news is that Hot Toys has acquired the Green Lantern movie licence! Seems that Hot Toys is snatching up every single superhero movie licence they can get.

Mezco’s SDCC exclusive – Green Lantern and Sinestro figure exclusives

Looks like they’re coming in at $40 and you’ll also be able to order them online. I’m a little surprised these are exclusives, they look like they’d be popular enough to be great regular designs!

DC Direct Sinestro White Lantern bust

I believe this is the final bust in the DC Direct Blackest Night series of busts, the White Lantern Sinestro. I could be wrong though! He’s going to be ready for release in early December with a MSRP of $70.

Toys R Us getting an exclusive Green Lantern movie “preview” figure

It’s incredibly rare that I post articles about individual upcoming action figures but this one is so hideous, I had to! This Toys R Us Early Bird Green Lantern figure is meant for “adult collectors” and it’s coming in at $24.99. $24.99!! It looks so awful. Sure, the movie suit looks awful, but they made it considerably worse. Plus that base? Ugggggh.
