Mattel cancels Ghostbusters subscription plan for 2012

Press release under the cut. I don’t particularly enjoy the subscription model for collectibles so I’m not sorry to see it go!

Here’s the little blurb on their site : “OK, so, she’s a dog.” While not Dana Barret’s finest moment, we all fondly remember the time when the two dogs perched on either side of the steps waiting for the arrival of Gozer. Now, Diamond Select Toys is giving you the chance to recreate that moment [...]

Posted by: Dr_Teng In: Statues

I’ve been anticipating this piece for a while, a Shunya Yamashita statue in Kotobukiya’s Bishoujo line, outside of any established licence? For countries in Europe, there are stricter regulations on product warnings so we had to make a tough decision: put lots of warnings all over [...]

Not only are they not themed (an issue some people had with the other set) but they come in a special box that gives you a diorama setup. While the price isn’t known yet, I’d guess $60-$80. Mattel’s Cyber Monday [...]

Not too many details on this one yet aside from it being Stay Puft looking hilarious, it’s glow in the dark, and that it’s a Toys R Us exclusive. Why bother with the piggy bank when you can have a giant angry marshmellow storing your change?
