Definitely one of the nicer looking Asuka statues of the last few years, if you want an anime accurate version, this one fits the bill. Available for preorder at Hobby Search for $80. For the size (slightly under 11 inches) I would’ve expected closer to $100 with the yen being so high lately!

This is rather unusual for a Rei Ayanami statue, which if you follow import statues, you’d know is one of the most common subjects to make a statue of. There must be a few hundred Evangelion statues at this point. Coming out from Sentinel, it’s planned for release in November with a cost around $90, [...]

Willing to bet this one sells out pretty quickly too, Revoltech Evangelion figures seem to be unstoppable. Coming with tons of accessories, and a pretty novel little feature, a stand that spins Eva unit 02 in super fast circles, haha. Hobby Search has it for just under $35, check for more pics under the cut!

The follow-up to the popular Rei Ayanami statue, here’s Yamato’s Asuka by Shunya Yamashita! The Rei is still one of my favourite lady statues to date so this Asuka had a lot to live up to.

I’ll admit, I was surprised that Revoltech would use up their 100th figure release on another Evangelion mech. They’ve released a ton of these already, and while this one looks slightly different in terms of paint and the LED base, it’s very similar to their previous releases.

Coming in at around $30 with a variety of accessories, Good Smile Company’s Rei Figma will no doubt be quite popular. Here’s a few pictures, available shortly at whatever import sites you frequent. More pictures under the cut.

For those of you that missed these Revoltech figures in their first releases, they’ve decided to put them together in one affordable set. Already sold out at Ami-Ami, check around other import shops and you should be able to find them.

For those not familiar with Figma figures, they’re comparable to Revoltech. They’re small, ultra posable, and have noticable joints. They’re not like statues in that sense, but I can see a super posable Asuka with the fantastic looking accessory (and a cheaper price) drawing some buyers away from the statues. Didn’t I just show shots of the unpainted version of this a week or two ago? After Alter released their images, seems Kotobukiya didn’t want to let that slide and knocked these out.

The floodgates are still open with Evangelion merchandise, with Alter releasing an Asuka test suit statue into the torrent.
