I wasn’t aware he was even planning a variant, but here it is. Modern/classic versions of Doom, with some subtle differences on the face and the obvious arm difference.
I’m not completely sold on this one. I like that they’re doing Doctor Doom and I really like the work around his eyes, but it’s a similar pose to the Bowen statue and some of the paint has issues. Personal preferences aside, it’s an ambitious piece for Kotobukiya’s Marvel villain line of statues.
I absolutely did not see this one coming, excellent choice of character from Kotobukiya. Doctor Doom!
Time to review the classic Doctor Doom Bowen full-size statue. This was also available in mini form.
There’s been talk of a new Doctor Doom for a while, here it is! I’m hoping for some refinements but it’s a promising start.
