Sideshow Collectibles Announces Conan Dioramas

Posted by: Dr_Teng In: Statues

Another new announcement in the 12 Days of Sideshow. They’re starting a Conan line of dioramas. While this piece is very similar to a Bruce Timm Conan image (which Beverly Gilroy made a custom maquette of), it’s a more realistic style and apparently not inspired by that particular piece. I’m primarily familiar with Conan from [...]

Sideshow Collectibles X-Force Diorama Announcement

Posted by: Dr_Teng In: Statues

Kinda surprised to see this one since it’s from a more recent comic series, but it has been a popular run, which I still need to read. Anyways, sneak peek located here, pre-orders begin on the 7th.

Another great week! An upcoming Doomsday diorama in the works (versus Superman apparently, but that isn’t sculpted), a great Hellboy piece based off of a Frank Cho illustration, a statue based off of a Ken Kelly painting, and a custom Vegeta bust.

Some Fantastic Custom Dioramas

There’s some really terrific work here. Not only is it in varying scales (1/12th, 1/10th, 1/6th) but there’s so much variety in the work here, it’s quite impressive. I’ll be posting a small sampling of the work then you can check his site to see the rest.

Upcoming Lord of the Rings Sideshow Diorama

Posted by: Dr_Teng In: Statues

Apparently this was sneaked a few months ago but I somehow completely missed it. It was once again shown in one of the Spooktacular videos. It’s Aragorn vs the King of the Dead. Could be good!

Sideshow showed a sneak peek of an upcoming diorama they’re working on and some handy forum members figured out the artwork that it was likely based off of. Both images are below the cut.

A user on SF uploaded these, they’re shots from the SDCC video Sideshow released a while ago. I think it looks really promising, this could be one of their most badass Indy products to date!

This statue is part of a series of 3 dioramas that is easily one of my favourite lines to date. I love the X-Men, the Astonishing storyline was an excellent read, and the idea of a line of statues featuring the X-Men trashing a Sentinel had the potential to be so dynamic and cool looking. [...]

Lost Kubrick Toys diorama

Posted by: Dr_Teng In: Projects

Spent some of my free time lately working on a little diorama. I’ve been meaning to get back into these sorts of things so I started small. Made this in a few days. Tore apart a frame I picked up from Value Village, repainted it, found a proper image of Hawaii and modified it in [...]
