Sideshow news – Check out the raw Colossus sculpt + Psylocke getting new sculpted heads

I have no clue how I missed this but apparently Sideshow’s Psylocke PF had a new headsculpt at SDCC? Both of the heads were resculpted by the sculptor and from the best picture I’ve seen focusing on her face, it looks like an improvement (on the regular head so far). No doubt the promo galleries will be updated when they have a production sample back. For anyone concerned about Colossus and how he’ll look in terms of muscle definition if you want to customize the figure, there’s a handy image of the raw sculpt available. Psylocke head bit grabbed from Cooltoyreview’s excellent photo and cut down to fit in this article! You can compare it to the compare it to the original Psylocke.

Finally, my most anticipated Spooktacular preorder, Colossus, is up for grabs!

And not only that, but they snuck out that they’re releasing a Magik statue! What do you guys think of Colossus? I like a lot of what I’m seeing but it just doesn’t have the OOMPH I was expecting. Though I haven’t looked at all the pictures yet! Nice print though. The Magik statue on the other hand…loving that base. I’d like to see some better shots of the face, but so far, so good.

Here’s a direct link to the Spooktacular countdown if you’d rather see some of it there, though the Colossus PF and Indy weren’t shown there yet.

The Spooktacular specific announcements include the Asaaj Ventress bust coming soon, the Ringwraith (unfortunately, not pictured) from Lord of the Rings, an Alien mini-bust set, and an announcement of a Real Steel licence. As for the sneaks of Colossus and Indy, check under the cut!

Kotobukiya releases the final images of their Colossus Danger Room statue

There’s a lot to love about this statue, Kotobukiya is knocking some of these out of the ballpark. The Danger Room Colossus is shaping up to be one of the best Colossus statues to date, however for my personal preference, I think he might be a little TOO muscular. Still, I’m sure it’ll be a big hit! Check under the cut for more.

Kotobukiya has been sneaking out some great shots of their upcoming Colossus statue, including some scale comparisons. The paint is still up in the air, they’re considering chrome, but we’ll see how it goes!

Some great bits of info on Sideshow’s site about their upcoming Marvel works. It’s hard to tell what’s going on with the Colossus, but both versions of Cyclops already look like they’ve got serious potential.

Sideshow Collectibles announced they’ve got two Colossus projects in development. Here’s a sneak peek of one. I’m a big fan of Colossus but I’m not familiar with this design, so I have no clue what’s going on with this one.
