I’ve gone on about how much I love these tiny little toys, but this one…yeah, I dunno.
I’ve got some huge problems with the sculpt. Obviously they wanted it to be super posable, but come on. The boots look stupid, the top of the thighs and the chest, and man, those monster manhands are just something else. That isn’t a perspective trick, that hand is bigger than his head. The worst thing about this line is that the Guile is the only one that even looks half-decent.
I’ve seen pictures of the Ryu, Ken, the Chun-Li, and Zangief, and goddamn, they’re just gross. It’s weird since I enjoy so many of their other lines, and while some of their human lines also have fairly visible joints, the Street Fighter ones seem the worst by far (out of what I’ve seen). Yeah, it’s neat they have little energy things for their fireballs, but when their face looks really dumb, a neat fireball doesn’t really hide that.
Looking at the side, I have just as many problems. The arms look pretty awful, ugggh. I’m glad I only bought the Guile. While he bugs me, he’s decent from a distance. Plus, his comb pose makes me laugh. Although his comb has pegs on both sides for some bizarre reason??
I’ll keep it in my collection, but it’s not really something I’d recommend. Unfortunately, there aren’t many options for what I’d consider to be decent Street Fighter stuff, but I imagine it’s only a matter of time.
