There’s been a fair few statues lately that have had paint issues or even assembly issues. Ones that if you didn’t know about, you might accidentally damage your statue/toy, or might keep your item boxed up and find out 8 months down the line that it looks like garbage. If nothing else, this can be a handy guide for which flaws to look for when you’re buying statues/toys and if possible, easy ways to fix them.
The first official statue alert (though I’ve had a few articles regarding others before) is the DC Direct Heroes of DC Superman mini-bust.
That’s a picture from Fandomania, they’re doing a review on it. As you can see, the belt looks awful. What you can’t see in that particular picture, is that the S is incredibly poor painted. There are issues with his chin, etc…
That’s been reported by a few other people as well. Now, some people have gotten rather nice Superman mini-busts, so just make sure to inspect it for any obvious flaws.
