Sideshow Collectibles grail seller – TAMAMA325 – Something suspicious?

Posted by: Dr_Teng In: Statues

I didn’t want to put this up as a recast alert because nobody has been able to prove they’re recasts. However, there’s been a lot of suspicious activity from this Ebay seller located over in Asia. He’s sold a number of “grail” statues and at least two of his Premium Format Hulk statues had the same number as existing users on statue forums (and this was proven with pictures). Considering he’s sold tens of thousands of dollars worth of these, it’s worth bringing it up. Most people seem to think they’re samples or pieces created after the factory was shut down for the night (which has been known to happen) to supplement some people’s incomes overseas. Either way, be very careful if you’re planning to purchase these.

Here’s some more information :

GOOD TO KNOW!!^^ MUCH THX Dr_ for these warnings!

When in doubt avoid. I feel there are just too many from same source here.

Maybe the odd extra if he has factory connections but 10s of k’s worth??

And even if it is not a recast if it is a double it raises the run # above the declared amount. Not sure what should happen to the double…and which one would BE the double???? Shame to destroy it.
What do you think Dr_?

The thing is, the majority of people wouldn’t destroy an extra, so you’d end up having doubles in the market, which in the long run could devalue the item.

If I had a double and I had paid good money for it, would I destroy it? Probably not, since I doubt I could afford to. I’d just keep it in my collection and not sell it again, if it weren’t technically legit. Maybe I’d customize it. It’s tough to say. If I were rich or I managed to get my money back, in that case, it’d probably be best to destroy.

Yeah. Totally with you on this. I would never destroy it.
Ah well…a few extra floating around…just part of the production scenario I guess.
^ for answering.
