Here’s a review of two Revoltech Robotech/Macross toys, and you get to see what was my first custom diorama that I made months ago, look at that quality, folks. I made this better than most 12 year olds could, OH YEAH.

They’ve got a variety of Macross toys, including the two above, movie versions, even the ones from Macross Plus. Despite that, I wish there were more enemy units and more of the traditional human units, but it’s certainly a good start!
I was impressed that they decided to make the enemy chicken walker unit, and not only that, but that they did a superb job. It can be a bit difficult to pose, but you should be able to get it in a few minutes. You can also move the guns around to face in different directions.

Both of them are well detailed, and can be put in a huge variety of positions. The paintjob is nice and there’s as many accessories as I could possibly ask for. The alternate versions (movie/different paint scheme, etc…) have slightly different accessories. This is probably one of the best Revoltech sets you could army build with, so it’s nice that you can change up their appearance with the different additional armour pieces (that I haven’t attached in the pictures)

As far as Revoltech figures go, my Macross (including the Plus ones, which I’ll review later) Revoltech figures are at least on par with the Transformers ones, and they’re a totally worthwhile buy. Now I’ll say that I’ve never tried any of the other Macross toys out. I know there’s a ton of them, some of them look fairly huge and detailed, but I’m a big Revoltech fan, so this is where I went first. Maybe I’ll check the other ones out later.
5/5
