Gentle Giant premiers an Iron Man Avengers bust with a special discounted price this weekend

Here’s Gentle Giant’s take on what appears to be the Iron Man Mark VII bust from Avengers. Coming in at $59 this weekend and shipping in Q1 2013, this looks rather good. Particularly the painted lighted effects on the hands, great touch. Here’s Gentle Giant’s page with pre-order info.
While the Catherine doesn’t look nearly as good as the Max Factory one (review pending!), it does match up well with the gorgeous Katherine that Artspirits is releasing. I’ve never seen Artspirits statues before so no clue about the quality but if it stays near prototype level, it’ll be an excellent purchase! Pre-orders details when available.
With Avengers and some traveling, review time has been limited, though I’ve got a new one lined up for next week! To end this week off, let’s have another classic review that I’ve had sitting around :
Coming off of a few great looking busts in series 2, DC Direct released another Terry Dodson bust, Batwoman. From the preview shots, this one had potential. While not my favourite design for a Bat lady, I thought the pose could make up for how mediocre the character was. Was I right? Check below the cut to find out!

Kotobukiya’s classic Avengers set is starting to round out rather nicely, here’s their latest, Hawkeye!
After a fantastic midnight showing of the Avengers, I was certainly pleased to see Hot Toys put up images of their Thor Avengers figure! Pre-order available at BBTS for $189.99 and Sideshow Collectibles for $199.99. Check the rest of the images under the cut!

Sideshow Collectibles starts off their Star Wars Mythos line with a HUGE bang

This line looked impressive from the bits of info Sideshow Collectibles doled out at SDCC but wow, seeing these amazing previews completely sold me on this line. Incredible sculpting to go with the really interesting interpretations of characters, this has a ton of potential. Check out the rest of the Darth Maul Mythos gallery over here.
