Here’s the press release from the First4Figures Worms announcement :

We are extremely happy to announce an agreement with Team17 Software Ltd., The Sharpe Company and AT New Media for the rights to make vinyl figures and resin statues and dioramas based on Team 17’s classic turn-based strategy game, Worms™!

The first wave of Worms™ collectibles will be previewed at this year’s upcoming Nuremberg and New York Toy Fairs, with product anticipated to come to market around July 2012. More information on the pricing and timing will be made available soon. Check out a teaser image of one of the resin dioramas planned! Can you guess what it is?

Here’s a preview of the eFX Avengers prop replica lineup! They’ll be doing Thor’s hammer and no doubt, other memorable props from the movie. Pricing and details to be announced later.

Really liking these Lego Lord of the Rings minifigure previews so far! They’ve adapted them to the style quite well and Lord of the Rings offers a ton of opportunity for unique sets. Check out some additional pictures that were sent my way.

Seemed like I should get this review out before the new ship from the First4Figures Metroid line comes out! This was the first release, Samus’ Gunship from Metroid Prime 2 : Echos. I’ve been a big fan of the Metroid ship designs since Super Metroid so I was jacked when First4Figures said they were making a line of them, starting with my favourite one. Let’s check it!

Gaming Heads has released a couple other Team Fortress 2 statues and they’ve looked fantastic, capturing the style very well. They’re prepping their Medic statue with pre-orders up this week. Which hopefully means it’ll be on display at Toy Fair next month so I can grab some photos!

MSRP of $279.99 (though look at other retailers, such as BBTS!), limited to 750, coming in at about 19 inches tall, HCG presents their 1:4 scale Captain Kirk statue. There’s no exclusive version of this one. The likeness to Kirk is pretty good and roughly one billion times better than Sideshow’s attempt (admittedly, that was MANY years ago), it also makes me wonder if HCG will do more of the crew in 1:4.

This week, BBTS has the newest Hot Toys Predator in stock for $200, new 1/4 scale Predators from NECA, pre-orders for those Toy Story Cosbaby figures ($10 for Rex, think I’ll be grabbing him!), the new Bowen statues, and the new Gentle Giant statues I showed off a few days ago.
