Figures.com just announced that they’ve had a talk with NECA’s head of product development. Apparently, they’re going to be releasing figures for Predator, Predator 2, and the upcoming Predators film. No human characters are planned yet, they’re going to start with the different looks of the Predators and work from there.
On one hand, it’ll be good to have some low-cost entry level toys for Predator fans with decent face sculpts, not everyone can afford Hot Toys, after all. On the other hand, one of my friends that received the Dead Space figure of theirs told me that one of the joints busted already, so I’m not sure their quality has improved since I broke one of my Gears of War figures by dusting it. Let’s hope it has.
