Megahouse Portrait of Pirates Brook statue review

Posted by: Dr_Teng In: Statues

Never saw it coming when they introduced Brook as a member of the Strawhat Pirates crew, but as soon as he was, I knew a Portraits of Pirates statue couldn’t be far behind. Thoughts under the cut!

Brook has a variety of alternate display options but I was slightly rushed for time when I took the photos, so you don’t see them. Just be aware, the way I have him looking is his default, but certainly not the only way he can be displayed.

The first thing you’ll notice is his rather unique look for a skeleton. He’s got an afro, a top hat, and a suit. Instead of being modest, he’s skipped out on the shirt, and his suit has one awesome tear on the arm that you can see the skeleton through.

The posing, sculpt, and paint were everything I’ve come to expect from the Megahouse Portrait of Pirates line. Excellent in detail work and the interpretation of the character. The whole statue comes off as quirky, and if you’ve seen the show, you’d be hard pressed to argue that.

5/5. All in all, a superb addition to a One Piece collection.

Buying Options : While newer versions of Brook might still be available at retail, this one is long sold out. Secondary market is a go.

SUPERB!

Brook would be great to have on display as you enter a statue room to introduce ones collection. I really like him.
