Bellemere here ended up being the second most rare Portrait of Pirates statue around, possibly hitting first place with the recent Smoker re-release. Her and Smoker were both part of a wave that for whatever reason, didn’t seem terribly popular at first, but years later both them were worth at least 8-12 times what they originally sold for. Since that’s an outrageous price, enjoy a free peek at it via my review, and you can figure out if it’s worthwhile or not.

This particular character is Nami’s mom from an earlier flashback. She’s a strong character for the brief amount of time she’s in the show and I was both surprised and pleased they made a figure of her. Even more so when they came out with the younger Portrait of Pirates figures and made the child versions of Nami and her sister, which compliment this statue wonderfully.

Bellemere, she’s a unique looking lady. Won’t see many half-shaven ladies holding a gun in a semi-seductive pose with cleavage everywhere. While the pose comes off looking a little odd in my third photo, that’s simply due to the angle. Due to the particular style of One Piece, the really top heavy ladies can appear slightly unbalanced from pictures taken at a downwards angle, but it’s not an issue in person, as you can see from the other shots.

Paint and sculpt are both spot on. The lines are clean, the colours look great, the details on the gun are just fantastic. Her expression and general appearance both fit the show perfectly.
4/5. I’m only notching a point because it’s difficult to justify the cost of this figure. Even for diehard fans of the show, are you willing to pay $200-$300 for a minor character? The statue is top notch, but I’d wait for a re-release (if there hasn’t been one by the time of this review)
Buying Options : If it hasn’t been re-released, your only option is Ebay. Watch out for bootlegs.
