Megahouse Mr. 2 Bon Clay Portrait of Pirates Statue Review

This week we’re looking at a fan favourite from One Piece, the Megahouse Mr. 2 aka Bon Clay Portrait of Pirates statue.
Megahouse, as usual, knocks it out of the park on this one. Bon Clay is a goofy ass character in the series and he makes a fantastic goofy ass statue. Even if you didn’t know that, looking at the pose alone would give you an idea that this isn’t a character you treat seriously.
The sculpting is great and completely appropriate to his character. The choice of a pink base was ideal. The fur ruffles, the leg muscles, all the little details on his jacket, good stuff.
What about the paint? As bright and vibrant as you’d expect. As you can see, there’s a good variety of colours. Pinks, blues, purple, no paint drips or problems, even in the detail areas. Even the shading on the swans is nicely done and the stubble on his legs is just as gross looking as it should be.
5/5. He’s a perfect representation of the character. You’re probably saying to yourself, “But dr_teng, why would I ever want this character?” Valid point. Most people won’t! But for those that do, it’s a great Portrait of Pirates figures.
Buying Options : He gets restocked at HLJ from time to time, otherwise, Ebay is fine. Watch out for bootlegs.
