Justice League : New World Order Paperback for $7.99 currently at Amazon
You’re looking at a story that isn’t terribly complex with art that tells you THIS is the 90s. It looks dated, but since I imagine most of you guys tolerated X-Men and X-Force back in the day like I did, it’s more than bearable. The gist of the story is a super powerful alien team lands on Earth and unlike the Justice League, take a proactive approach to changing the planet. This seems all well and good until bad things happen. Like I said, not that complex, though it does have a neat twist near the end.
When I’ve seen public opinion about this story online, it seems to focus around Grant Morrison restoring the JLA to their former glory with this being a fantastic title for it. I won’t go that far. It’s a solid title, just not great. Perhaps if I were familiar with the JLA prior to this, I might think different, since obviously the Justice League went on to an important part of the DC universe, including a great cartoon.
