This isn’t the first Hot Toys figure I’ve bought, but since the other one is at my wife’s place and I can’t review it, this is what you’re gonna get! I’m a huge fan of Resident Evil 4, it’s one of my favourite games of all time. Of course, I wasn’t into figures when the game came out, so the two figures I now want the most skyrocketed to $250 each. But two of the figures I wanted the least are like $75 each, which isn’t bad. Hot Toys Krauser here was one of those $75 rejects.
There’s two versions of Krauser. The regular military version, and this transformed version. They share most of their accessories, however this one comes shirtless with mutations and a giant arm, while the other one has a hat, shirt, and a badass crossbow.
This is using a rubberized muscle body, which I prefer to the regular jointed bodies. Yeah, you can see the area where the hard plastic mutant arm attaches to him, but his other elbow doesn’t have a visible joint. The only problem I find with this muscle body is that it seems to be a dust and lint magnet. But the rubber feels more like skin, which is cool.
I didn’t realize how tricky it would be to assemble this. My wife assembled the Bank Robber Joker when I had it sent to her place and she would message me every once and a while telling me how much she hated putting it together and now hates that figure. I wasn’t sure why she would think that, but then I put together this one, which is apparently much much easier than the Joker. I still managed to break one of the fabric belt buckles and an ammo clip, and I got annoyed to the point where I didn’t bother giving him his knife. I’ll know better for next time! At least I didn’t try to start putting together Hot Toys stuff with their Alien 3 figure, I’ve seen forum threads where people snapped the hips right off that one.
Beyond my blundering attempts at putting it all together, the figure pretty much kicks ass. They did a great job on the likeness, he’s an imposing figure, the mutated arm is enormous, the rubber body is cool, and the amount and quality of accessories are some of the best I’ve seen on any figure. Big thumbs up, especially since everyone dislikes Krauser and he’s on clearance everywhere.

Buying Options : This guy’s been on clearance everywhere. Seriously, pretty much every online store. Sideshow or If you can’t find him at the usual suspects, try Ebay. Not unreasonable priced on Amazon either.
