Enterbay Jack Bauer and David Palmer from 24 Figure Review

Posted by: Dr_Teng In: Toys

Up this week is another double review, Enterbay’s Jack Bauer and David Palmer. Normally, I’d do these as a single review, but I’m pretty sure not a single person is going to buy David Palmer without Jack Bauer, so what the hell.

Let’s take a look at Jack first, he’s more exciting. He’s not in his most iconic outfit, a bit disappointing. Enterbay sometimes releases multiple outfits of the same figure (see : Bruce Lee), or you could replace the clothing with stuff from Ebay. He has a few accessories, the black man-purse, his gun, holster, another set of hands, a silencer, and a watch being the ones I remember off the top of my head.

Enterbay figures are new to me, so I’ve never gotten to play around with the body before. I found it more difficult to pose than Medicom and Hot Toys’ bodies, but it feels really sturdy and solid. It took me a little longer to get him into a decent position than the other two companies’ figures. As far as his face sculpt goes, it’s one of the best I’ve ever seen. It was praised a lot on ye old internet forums from the promo pictures, and for good reason. I mean just look at this thing, it’s Jack Bauer at his best, which isn’t really what he looks like now!

The price was a little higher than Hot Toys figures, but only by a few bucks. Thinking about it, Jack was worth the asking price, but I should’ve waited on Palmer given his complete lack of accessories.

David Palmer is a little worse off, but he’s a quality figure. There’s a few problems with him. The complete lack of accessories is the main one. Standing on his own, he’s seriously lacking. He needs a podium, a microphone, a chair, SOMETHING. The height, he’s not accurate at all since he’s supposed to be way bigger than Bauer. The face sculpt hasn’t been nailed as well as Bauer, but it’s still very nicely done. The paint on both is top notch and I can’t find any real flaws with either of them. The clothing on Palmer is a little iffy, it’s well constructed enough, but it’s difficult to make it fit properly without making him look awkward, as you can see in my pictures. Maybe I’m just not enough of a super pro at these 12″ figures and getting their tiny clothing to look good.

Overall, one great figure, one alright figure. 4.5/5 on Bauer, 2.5/5 on Palmer. Bauer could’ve used a more iconic outfit, Palmer needed a few corrections to his size and a big price drop for lack of accessories. Here’s a couple more additional pics of Palmer, since I was screwing around with his figure trying to get it to look good.
