Enesco Baby Tigger With Pooh Friends At First Pounce Statue Review
Posted by: Dr_Teng In: Statues
I adore Winnie the Pooh and when I saw this up for pre-order, I had to get it. It’s from Enesco, which is a company I’m not too familiar with. They seem to create tons of porcelain statues for Disney.
It’s a small statue, the whole thing including Tigger’s tail is less than 4 1/2 inches high. It’s overpriced for it’s size, but that’s apparently all of Enecso’s Disney products. The sculpting is really nicely done. It’s not a terribly advanced piece since you’ve got a fat Pooh bear and Tigger, but I really enjoyed the pose and the execution. The facial expressions are dead on.
The paint, like the sculpting, isn’t terribly advanced. Mostly flat colours with some shading in the grass areas. What’s there is very nice. No paint drips, good consistency, slight flaws with the detail work is the only complaint I’d give it.
4/5. It’s a nice piece, super cute for Winnie the Pooh fans. The slight paint problems and the price knock it down a half point.
Buying Options : When you can find it, it’s cheap on Ebay. However, it’s not often on Ebay. You can buy direct from Enesco
