What's Your Obsession

I definitely approve of showing your fans what’s coming soon when you have 2 similar figures coming out, rather than say, releasing their T-800 1/6th THEN previewing their 1/4th, nice job Hot Toys. It’ll be interesting to compare this to the excellent Enterbay T-800 quarter scale figure!

Another Hot Toys release where I missed the original and can now get an upgraded version, don’t mind if I do! Here’s their upcoming T-800 Terminator DX figure.

I haven’t ever seen a Hot Toys marketing onslaught like this, they’re releasing sneaks and figures non-stop for their Avengers line. You won’t hear me complaining! Here’s a sneak of their next Avenger, Captain America!

This is great for two reasons. One, it’s my preferred version of Gohan. Two, the previous Gohan goes for considerably more than retail. Better (for me at least!) figure AND cheaper price? Don’t mind if I do! Here’s the first image of the upcoming S.H. Figuarts 2012 SDCC exclusive, Super Saiyan Son Gohan figure.

Makes me wonder if they’ll show off any of the big heroes prior to the movie or if they’re saving those for post-release! Especially ones like Captain America/Thor, who already have figures. Here’s a look at the gorgeous Hot Toys Hawkeye figure. Available to pre-order at BBTS for $174.99 and Sideshow for $189.99.

You’ll likely want to inspect your SSJ3 Goku if you’ve pre-ordered him and he’s already arrived, a good few people are reporting the production paint applications vary significantly from the prototype pictures with a gross yellow/brown tint. I’m not sure whether it applies to all of them but so far, it seems most people that [...]

Amazing that they must’ve been working on a prototype this long without officially announcing the licence earlier, considering how long it took for them to have a final prototype of Rex after that licence announcement! Here’s your first look at 3a’s interesting take on a Portal cube figure.

Still not sure what to think of the upcoming CS Moore Grimm Fairy Tales action figure line. The Alice is well sculpted and comes in at 6″, with a MSRP of $24.99. Each one will ship with an exclusive cover variant of the Wonderland #1 comic as well. I’m mainly wondering whether the articulation will [...]

No details yet but Valve (creators of the Half-Life, Left4Dead, and Team Fortress franchises) have teamed up with toy maker/designer 3a, which recently released put their incredible Metal Gear Rex up for pre-order. Valve does have some impressive designs in their games so this could be rather exciting! More news as it develops.

Posted by: Dr_Teng In: Toys

Hot Toys released this Black Widow figure after the Iron Man 2 movie, one of their first (if not their first) female catsuit style figures. They’ll almost certainly be releasing a new one for the Avengers movie, is it worth picking this one up? Let’s check it out and see! Quick Buying Options : Sold [...]
