Marvel releasing a line of Avengers colognes – Who wouldn’t want to smell like the Hulk?

I’m laughing at this but I’m totally going to sample these Avengers colognes if they’re available at any store around here. Whoever wrote the flavour text on these clearly had a good time.

They’ve also got a Loki cologne and a Nick Fury one available. This lack of Black Widow and Hawkeye, totally unacceptable!

Mimoco introducing a MimoMicro line of MicroSD cards

Here’s the press blurb :

Mimoco has unveiled a new product line of fashionable personal data storage devices called MIMOMICRO. The MimoMicro product line can best be described as a smaller, more versatile evolution of the Mimobot collection. Not only can MimoMicro be used as a USB flash drive with interchangeable microSD memory cards, but it also functions as a microSD card reader to transport data between mobile phones, tablets, e-readers, digital cameras, and mp3 players to one’s computer.

They come in at about 1.6 inches high, no price announcement yet. They’re starting it off with DC Universe and Star Wars MimoMicros, including vehicles!

Kotobukiya releasing a line of fantastic Alien themed chopsticks

Now these are really creative and fun, though perhaps not the most appealing during food for those who don’t like the Alien franchise. Kotobukiya is bringing out a series of Alien themed chopsticks! Only a matter of time until they have a full line of Alien ice cube trays, no doubt.

Dark Horse has announced they’ve acquired the Game of Thrones collectibles licence

It’s quite a comprehensive licence, it covers everything from figures, statues, busts, prop replicas, magnets, coaster sets, barware, and a bunch more. Seems like the premiere products will be launching in March, around the start of the second season. No previews available on the statues or figures but I’ll be sure to post them when they’re up!

Kotobukiya’s final revised sculpt + paint for their Liara T’Soni Bishoujo statue

Here’s a close-up image where you can see the main changes on Kotobukiya’s Liara T’Soni Bishoujo statue, which primarily seems to be breasts reduced by about half, and different paint on the forehead to make it appear a little smaller. Symbiote Studios Zombie Head cookie jar review

Never thought I’d be reviewing a cookie jar but hey, Symbiote Studios sent one over and I sure love cookies, so let’s take a look at their enormous zombie head cookie jar.

Remember that Death Star cookie jar that made the internet rounds a while back? Symbiote Studios made that as well. My biggest surprise came when I received this, I had no clue it was going to be ENORMOUS. I always thought of cookie jars in movies or tv shows, they looked like you could maybe put a single box of cookies in there. With this cookie jar? You could probably fit like 4 boxes of cookies. I legitimately never have that many cookies at my place so I can’t test the max cookie count of this jar.

Pretty sure it’s a ceramic object and I’ll tell you straight up, I have no clue how ceramic painting works. I’m assuming the streaky colours are intended, although the black hair and the brains are consistent so who knows ?? They’ve done a surprisingly good job on making this look like a zombie, blood and gore all around, without making it gross. It almost looks a little cute, like a cute dead thing that isn’t too far gone. Which is a plus, since a more realistic themed zombie would be a disaster for a kitchen or most living rooms.

See what I mean about the size? HUGE. Now I’m not the biggest fan of zombies so while I wouldn’t have gotten one for myself, I gotta say it’s warmed me up to the idea of novelty cookie jars. Think I might have to pick up the Death Star one!

Metal Gear Solid Risk boardgame sneaks in!

Based off of MGS4, Metal Gear Solid Risk looks pretty cool. Risk was definitely one of my boardgame favourites as a kid, throwing in a complete Metal Gear revamp and making it limited, especially right around the time they’re launching a bunch of the Metal Gear game re-releases…yep, this one’s gonna sell out. Judging by some of the other custom games, I’d expect this to be in the $40 range, like the Futurama Monopoly!

Detolfs starting to come back into stock

I know a lot of collectors have been becoming desperate as the Detolf supply dried up in parts of America but good news, they’re back in stock in the NY/NJ area and apparently some other parts of the country! Perhaps they were having some factory difficulties. IKEA is also redesigning the Billy bookcase to have more depth, which is totally ideal for collectibles. Looks like there won’t be a shortage of low-cost display options!

Awww yeah. Kotobukiya is expanding their ice molds line to include the Batman symbol! Could a Superman symbol be far off? I sure hope not!
