Bowen has an updated painted sneak peek of the fantastic looking Sandman statue with some DRAMATIC lighting. It’s looking fantastic.

Wish I could figure out how to light my statues like that. Perhaps I should hustle out and grab a doctorate in quantum optics after lunch. Naw …forget it. Might interfere with my afternoon nap.

Haha, it’s not THAT tough. It’s red light from one side, green light from another. Or if you only have regular lights, you get a transparent paper/gel (you can find it at Michaels) and put that in front of your light.

Thank You Dr_Teng. I will be trying that for sure along with some other light setups after the statue room is finished (almost there). I am not crazy about cold fluorescent lights and LEDs seem too cold also. Incandescent sometimes can be too hot and of course halogens are way too hot. Maybe that transparent paper/gel is just right thing!
I am looking forward to experimenting and even creating little environments for some of my pieces. Examples – little spacecraft room for Alien and little swamp patch for the Swamp Thing, throne rooms for Mephisto and Loki etc. All kinds of silly ideas – haha – part of the fun. Even crossed my brain wouldn’t mind waxing some of my statues. LOL
