Man, it’s tough to keep a blog updated when you’re traveling around. Right now I’ve over in Vegas and just got a fantastic on what I think is my favourite Spider-Man statue ever, one of the Diamond Select pieces that my pal Jeff has. Diamond Select is a bit of a strange company to me, some of their stuff looks really crappy, but then they have a few things like this Spider-Man piece that to me, is more or less the definitive version available. I’ll review it once I get it!
I started up a proper collectibles wiki. It seems the server I’m running it on isn’t awful for wikis, but I’m planning to move it to a proper server once some extra money frees up. I’d like it to have statues, action figures, plaques, posters, all sorts of stuff like that. It’d be nice if it’s a proper wiki and it has pictures that can help decide what the best collectibles are based on their preferences. Let me tell you, I wasted way too much time looking through the offerings of all the various statue companies, and some of them don’t have existing sites anymore so you can’t find decent pictures or even the proper names of the statues/toys/etc… how annoying! I’ll list the location and so on once I test it a little more to make sure there’s no massive screwups.
